Hello and welcome to my website!

My name is Elena and I am a passionate urban sketcher and illustrator, and my artwork is inspired by the beautiful places I've had the privilege of visiting, as well as my life with my family. I am originally from Madrid, Spain, and after having lived in Paris and London, I moved to New York City where I spent 6 amazing years. Now, I'm happy to call the Washington, D.C area home.

I have taken fine art courses at Pratt Institute and School of Visual Arts. I create my illustrations using primarily ink, watercolor, color pencils and gouache. I am part of the DC Urban Sketchers community and I love drawing on location, so when weather and time permit, you will find me sketching outdoors. If I am not painting outside, I'll be sitting on a corner of my living room where I created my art studio space (my two little ones also have a small craft area next to me).
